So they adulterate and sell at cheap prices to attract people who buy at very large quantities so they make their obscene profit.

The unsuspecting clients who purchased the adulterated diesel will then go home and start suffering and paying for something they know nothing about. They face dangerous carbon emissions,  fast diesel consumption, increase in maintenance cost, machine frequent breakdown, reduction in life span of machine and replacement so consequently they will spend so much and lose so much money and in the end it would have been better if they asked the right questions and are sure of their supplier before making their purchases.

Most people are of the belief that density that is specific gravity check is all you need to conduct to determine the quality of diesel. Well that is not all, there are other various tests that has to be conducted to ascertain the quality of diesel. Tests has to be conducted for flash point, viscosity, sulphur content, water content, octane index amongst others.

Nevertheless you other simple fast tests that you can run and that is the Density test and the water test.

You can conduct the diesel density with a calibrated hydrometer and thermometer. It is best for you to conduct this test yourself and not leave it for the supplier as the supplier might falsify it.  It is best if you conduct this yourself or by a trusted employee with your own instrument so you can be sure of the results. For the water test you can get a Water Paste to determine if there is water in the diesel.

It is advisable to do all these tests before purchases are made than after.
